In order to celebrate National Nurses Week, we wanted to share with you a "day in the life" through Layla Farinpour, who works within our own community in Santa Barbara.
"Wearing my Deckers X lab during my shift is like a warm gentle hug all day long. The support is amazing and having the shoe being breathable helps my foot stay cool. I wear my shoes at work and while I’m not at work. I love wearing them for long slow walks around my neighborhood. A day in the life of a hospital worker is tiring and rewarding.
I walk in average of 14,000 steps a day in the hospital. I always joke with coworkers that there’s a “normal walk” and a “Hospital walk”. The hospital work is twice the pace of a normal walk.
Having to be all over the hospital, it’s imperative that you have shoes that you don’t have to think about. You actually forget you’re wearing them. Nothing rubs or tugs or bothers any part of my foot. The thing I love about it most is the arch support and the cushioning. "
